"music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart."

Experience
Since my first student recital in 1996, I have been performing regularly at events within the local community. I specialize in coordinating important details ahead of time, being reliably prepared and skillfully performing so you can relax and enjoy the moment. In 2012, I received my Bachelor of Music degree from Azusa Pacific University in violin performance. From 2013-2016, I was the pianist at Grace Episcopal Church in Syracuse. Then, while living in Boston, I was the full-time music director and pianist at First Presbyterian Church in Brookline. I have been the Music Director at Eastwood Baptist Church since 2018, where I select weekly choral anthems, rehearse and direct the choir, and prepare holiday highlights, and coordinate special music offerings. I also freelance in the greater Syracuse, NY area. Please contact me if interested in having me perform for your event.
Piano
I am versatile with many different genres of piano music, including classical, ragtime, contemporary Christian, traditional church hymns, Broadway, and more. For a list of music already in my repertoire, please click here. If you are interested in music not listed, please ask and I will do what I can to accommodate your request. To book an event and get a price estimate, please contact me. Samples of my previous work at Grace Episcopal Church can be seen in videos on their Facebook page.
Violin
I have a number of solo pieces I am happy to play, or can collaborate with another colleague on piano or in a quartet to provide accompanied music. For a list of music already in my repertoire, please click here. If you are interested in music not listed, please ask and I will do what I can to accommodate your request. Teaching
In my nearly 30 years as a musician, I came to believe the most important element a teacher can impart to their students is a passion for music. I believe cultivating a passion for music while empowering students with technical abilities to express themselves is the key to success.
In August 2014, I attended Every Child Can at the Hartt Suzuki Institute, returning the following year to complete Suzuki Violin Unit 1 Teacher Training. Samples of previous student's recitals may be found here, including downloadable programs and photos of the events.
For nearly 10 years, I maintained a private violin and piano teaching studio out of my home. As of 2021, I have closed my studio and am devoting my energies toward expanding my public health work and research. If you are looking for a music teacher, please consult the Central New York Association of Music Teachers.
